Attorney George E. Mehalchick serves Lenahan & Dempsey as Of Counsel, and enjoys a wide variety of professional practice interests, including Social Security Disability, Workers Compensation, Auto Accidents, Civil Litigation, Federal Black Lung and Family Law.
Education
Attorney Mehalchick earned his law degree, cum laude, from The Vermont Law School. His is also a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University and attended The University of Tennessee.

George Mehalchick is a member of the American Bar Association, The Pennsylvania Bar Association, The New York Bar Association, The National Organization of Social Security Claims Representatives, and the Pennsylvania Association for Justice.
Attorney Mehalchick provides pro bono work representing children in custody matters with Lackawanna County Children & Youth Services. He is a past recipient of the Equal Access to Justice Award in recognition of his pro bono work and has also been honored for this work by both the Pennsylvania and New York State Bars.
Attorney Mehalchick serves on both the Advisory Board and the Board of Trustees for the Ballet Theatre of Scranton. He has been named as a volunteer of the year by the Ballet Theatre for his work with them.
